The Diver's Set-Up

A diving helmet in Trader Sam's Grog Grotto at Polynesian Village Resort. Perhaps it's a callout to 20,000 Leagues? The helmet's apparently flooded with bubbling water, even outside of the ocean, so I can't say this helmet truly works.

Among other animated props and events are animated windows with an erupting volcano, a taxidermy octopus tentacle that serves drinks, and Uh-Oa, an animatronic tiki goddess reused from Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management, which was closed due to a fire destroying one of the animatronics, so the Enchanted Tiki Room was restored to it's original (yet slightly trimmed) show.


Grog Grotto serves people who are age 21 and above, but I only went in for pictures. The bar is themed to Adventureland as a whole, containing collections from Jungle Cruise, Enchanted Tiki Room, and Pirates of the Caribbean. It is operated by Trader Sam, the "head" salesman of Jungle Cruise. Get two of his heads for one of yours!
